The underlying goal of my design work so far has been fixing user needs with creative solutions and be a system-level thinker to improve overall experience of a user of my product.
VMware would surely be a new challenge compared to my work so far, but I believe in my design skills and experience as a problem solver and want to challenge myself to work in a new domain at VMware.
What’s exciting to me is how VMware has been a leader in its industry since decades. Where many established companies fail to keep pace with the new trends in the industry, VMware till date continues to be ahead of the curve with Cloud and the future of Blockchain.
I have friends who are designers and engineers at VMware and have always heard great things, which excites me about this opportunity.
I started out with a Masters in Interaction Design from National Institute of Design in India.
The courses were built around everything from Fundamentals of Design like color theory and typography to Usability, Universal Design and Ethnographic Research.
A product designer currently working in a meal-kit delivery startup– Green Chef since close to 2 years.
The design philosophy that drives me is to adapt systems to ways people think rather than people having to adapt to systems.
My focus is Interaction design and you'll usually find me manipulating user needs into pixels. But I am also heavily involved in product strategy, user research and visual design.
Being a sole product designer at a startup, you pick up things.
