Having worked with Walmart on a shopping experience and on meal-kits with Green Chef over the past 2 years, I have worked on creating experiences that guide users from inspiration to conversion.
Working in a parallel food industry, I understand the users and the space at large. I feel and apply my experience and skills to the Product Design role at Yelp.
What’s exciting to me is how Yelp has identified such a universal customer journey of helping people find restaurants and services near them. Its become such a ubiquitous service that no matter which country I open the app in, I can get reliable listings and reviews.
As Yelp expands past discovery and helps users complete their journey with reservations and service quotes, it's an exciting time to join Yelp.
I started out with a Masters in Interaction Design from National Institute of Design in India.
The courses were built around everything from Fundamentals of Design like color theory and typography to Usability, Universal Design and Ethnographic Research.

The design philosophy that drives me is to adapt systems to ways people think rather than people having to adapt to systems.
My focus is Interaction design and you'll usually find me manipulating user needs into pixels. But I am also heavily involved in product strategy, user research and visual design.
